Thursday, April 22 / Sit-in before the Juvenile Court, via dei Bresciani 32 from 10, 30 to 12.30

The Committee Juvenile Justice Victims organized a sit-in to express their condemnation of the methods used in several cases of I commend the Juvenile Court of Latin Roma.Il blitz in which to pick up a child in a family home and bring it to his mother tearing, about 15 agents were used, it is only the latest in a series of measures which have the unique result of causing further trauma to children who have already suffered as a result of separation of conflict, violence or abuse.

The removal of the child to Latin America, the end of a hectic day, it was not possible because the baby was caught by serious illness for which it was necessary to accompany him to the emergency room.

We want to peacefully witness to our opposition to this modus operandi against the most defenseless in society and hope that in future, the provisions of the Juvenile Court to be more respectful of the sensitivities of children. In cases of custody measures to assist often traumatic for children, such as expulsion from the only parent with whom they have a strong emotional bond, reaching sometimes expulsion from school and peers, to be placed in a foster home. In the case of the smaller Latin America, has also come to the ban on visits by his mother and his family because the child refuses to meet his father. It almost seems that the children are treated as chattels disputed, of which you have the "seizure", waiting for justice take its course, or that children change idea.Non believe this is the spirit that should animate the work of the Juvenile Justice and called for greater sensitivity together with a constant ability and willingness to listen to children, as individuals and not, in fact, objects. Discomfort, in our opinion, should always be listened to and then cared for, but never punished.

During the sit-in Thursday, April 22, will be delivered to the Chairman of the Juvenile Court, Dr Melita Cavallo, thousands of signatures collected by Committee, together with a call for justice against mild children.

The sit-in Committee Juvenile Justice Victims , backed by the Movement for Children and various associations for the protection of children, is organized by Charles Stasolla, while a spokesman for the Committee Roberta Lerici.
